Re-Arrest of Colusa County Resident Possessing Matter Depicting Sexual Conduct of Person Under 18

William Wolfenbarger, 34, a Colusa County resident, was re-arrested on Friday, August 26 at about 2:00 PM by Detectives from the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office and booked on new felony charges relating to possession or control of matter depicting sexual conduct of persons under age 18 and penalty enhancements.

Wolfenbarger had been the focus of a previous criminal investigation that led to his arrest on February 29, 2016. The previous arrest resulted in Wolfenbarger being booked on two misdemeanor charges relating to disorderly conduct - invasion of privacy.

Following the February arrest, the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office continued its criminal investigation of Wolfenbarger, in conjunction with the FBI Electronic Crimes Unit. Additional interviews led to search warrants begin served which uncovered additional evidence.

Wolfenbarger was placed under arrest at the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the jail. His bail was set at $50,000, which he later posted and was released that same evening.
