Child Support Services COVID-19 Updates

Effective Monday, April 13th, the child support office will be closed to the public as a precaution while we all work through this COVID-19 event. Our staff are still working to serve you Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Here are ways we can connect:


  • Call our office directly at 530-458-0556. Please leave a message if we miss your call and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Send us an e-mail to childsupport@colusa.cse.ca.gov.

  • Send us a text to 530-214-0136

  • We also have a drop box for documents set up in the parking lot and we check it every business day. Reminder! Do not leave cash payments in the drop box; for payment options please see below.




Effective Tuesday, March 24th, child support offices statewide will not be conducting genetic testing for the duration of the COVID-19 event. For more information, please visit here:

Parents Receiving Support / Custodial Parties:

Any party receiving support in the form of paper checks is encouraged to enroll in Direct Deposit or sign up for an Electronic Payment Card (EPC). As our communities respond to COVID-19, a delay in processing paper payments may occur. Please enroll in an electronic option to ensure you receive support as quickly as possible. Parents Paying Support / Non-Custodial Parties:

Effective March 17th, 2020, automated enforcement activities, such as bank levy and driver’s license suspension have been suspended as communities across the state work through this crisis. In the event one of these actions began before this activity was stopped, please contact your case manager immediately so we may help you.

Parties and legal actions with the County of Colusa Superior Court:

  • The County of Colusa Superior Court is closed to the public, effective Friday, March 20th. Please contact your case manager should you have questions on an upcoming hearing.
  • The Colusa County Family Law Facilitator is closed until further notice.
  • The County of Colusa Superior Court is still filing documents, but a drop box has been set up at the entrance, please expect delays as everyone works through this event.
