The Colusa County Department of Agriculture enforces agricultural related laws and regulations pertaining to pesticide use enforcement, weights and measures, State and Federal plant quarantine including export certification, State seed and Nursery Program, and State quality standards for produce. The Department is responsible for managing pest detection and weed and vertebrate pest management.
The Colusa County Department of Agriculture is responsible for the enforcement of federal, state, and local laws and regulations within the county. Laws and regulations are enacted to protect people and the environment and to promote and protect the agricultural industry within the county.
The department is staffed with personnel familiar in all areas in order to direct the public and outside agencies to the appropriate representative.
