The Colusa County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Aero-Squadron is a volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to providing aerial support to Colusa County Sheriff's Department activities. Originally formed in early 1970s, the Aero Squadron has been an asset to the Sheriff's Office for several decades. Even though it had several years of inactivity, it was revitalized in 2000, and has flown over 20 successful missions in the past decade.
The squadron consists mainly of private pilots, who bring a wide variety of aircraft and flying experience to the squadron. CCSO Aero Squadron support activities include (but are not limited to):
