Patrolling Areas
The Colusa County sheriff's office is responsible for patrolling all unincorporated areas of the county. This area includes everything outside the cities of Colusa and Williams.
Community Involvement
The public can distinguish our patrol personnel by their distinctive black uniforms and their white cars with black and gold stripes. The deputies conduct proactive patrols to deter criminals and talk to the public to further public relations. They also respond to calls for services including:
- Coroner cases
- Crimes in progress involving violence
- Reports of property crimes
Accessibility
The patrol deputy is often the public's most accessible representative of local government. Patrol services are active 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.
