Road Department

The Road Department is responsible for the road maintenance and repair work for approximately 714 miles of roads and streets in the unincorporated areas of Colusa County. The Road Department maintenance crews work hard to ensure that road related maintenance issues and road hazards are taken care of as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, limited manpower and unforseen circumstances, there are times when road related problems and hazards arise, that our road maintenance staff are either not aware of, or have not had the time or resources to address.

The Public Works Department rely's on the Citizens of Colusa County to report any condition they deem as a problem or hazard, so we can begin the process to address the issue. Please let us know if there is a road condition or hazard that needs attention by submitting a Road Maintenance Request Form*, or by contacting the Public Works Department at (530) 458-0466. If you think it is an emergency situation please call 911.

* You will be required to enroll in the County Request Tracker to submit your request using the the Road Maintenance Request Form. However, in doing so, you will receive confirmation of your submission, and you will be notified when your request is completed by email. If you do not have an email account, need assistance, or if you prefer to call our office to report a road related problem or request road related maintenance, please call us at (530) 458-0466, and we will assist you.
