Immunizations For Adults

Adult Immunizations

You may not realize you need vaccines throughout your adult life. Even if you received the vaccines you needed as a child, the protection from some vaccines can wear off. The vaccines recommended for you are based on your age, health condition, job, lifestyle, or travel habits.

What Vaccines are Recommended for You?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides vaccine recommendations based on age, and medical conditions. Learn more about the different immunizations supported for adults here: Adult Immunization Schedule

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends that everyone ages 5 and older receives a COVID-19 vaccine. COVID-19 vaccines may be administered on the same day as other immunizations. To find a COVID-19 vaccine near you, please visit Colusa County Public Health’s Vaccine Clinic webpage, or Vaccines.gov

If you received your immunizations in California, you can submit an Authorization to Release Healthcare Information form through the California Immunization Registry (CAIR).  The CDC also provides a list of places where you can find your vaccine records: How to Locate Vaccine Records
